Why It Works Cold

While a blueberry latte is perfect for a cozy morning or rainy afternoons, this iced blueberry latte is a whole different experience. When served over ice the flavors become bolder and stronger. The cold allows for a fruitier flavor making it blend perfectly with the milk and espresso.

It’s the kind of latte you’ll want to make for a picnic, bring to the pool, or sip on while going for a walk for a little mid-day pick me up. It’s quite refreshing and will cool you down on a warm summer day.

Blueberry Latte:

  1. Pul 1-2 shots of espresso depending on how strong you want the latte. Set aside to cool.
  2. Fill a glass with one cup of ice. (The bigger the ice cubes you have the longer it will take the ice to melt. Leaving your latte less diluted and watered down) Add 2 tablespoons of the homemade blueberry syrup to the glass with ice.

A Fancy Drink That Doesn’t Cost a Fortune

If I’m being honest with you guys, I can’t always go out and buy a fancy iced latte with fruity syrups and cold foams all the time. We’re on a tighter budget right now and spending 6-8 dollars every day on one coffee just isn’t something we can always do. It’s a nice treat once in a while but it’s definitely not very budget friendly.

This homemade version is great if you’re wanting a fancy coffee but not wanting to spend a fortune on it. It’s made with simple ingredients that allow you to recreate that fancy coffee shop latte for just a fraction of the cost. A homemade latte costs under 2 dollars while a coffee shop latte could cost an upwards of 8-10 dollars for one drink. Definitely worth it to try making lattes from now on if you’re trying to stick with a budget!
