Old Fashioned Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
These soft and fluffy old fashioned chocolate chip oatmeal cookies are cooked to perfection with a soft middle and lightly golden-brown crispy edges.

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup old fashioned oats
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Pre heat oven to 350 ℉
In a large glass bowl sift together dry ingredients. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together soften butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined. The mixture should be light and fluffy.
Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients folding in one cup at a time until well combined.
Cover bowl and put in the refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and once the dough is done chilling scoop the dough evenly and 3 inches apart on the parchment paper.
Bake for 12-14 minutes or just until the edges are lightly golden brown. Allow to cool on a cooling rack.
Store in an air-tight container for up to one week.
