Easy Dirty Chai Latte Recipe

Ingredients

Chai Spice Blend

  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cardamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon All Spice
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Ground Pepper

Chai Tea

  • 6 oz Milk
  • 2-3 Black Tea Bags
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Chai Spice Blend
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey

Chai Tea Latte

  • Crushed Ice
  • Cooled Chai Tea
  • 2 Shots Cooled Espresso
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • Whipped Cream
  • Sprinkle of Chai Spice Blend

Instructions

Chai Spice Blend

  • In a small bowl whisk together the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cardamom, all spice, cloves, and pepper until well combined.
  • Store in a Ziploc bag or an airtight container.

Chai Tea

  • In a medium saucepan bring milk to bowl. While the milk is boiling put the tea bags in and let boil for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes.
  • Once the tea bags are done steeping remove them from the milk. Mix in the honey and chai spice blend until fully combined. Let the mixture cool completely before using.

Chai Latte

  • Brew 2 shots of espresso over one tablespoon brown sugar. Set aside to cool for 10 minutes.
  • Grab a tall coffee glass and add in the crushed ice. Next, you'll add in the cooled chai tea mixture followed by the cooled espresso. Stir together until combined and top with whipped cream along with a sprinkle of the chai spice blend.
