Mix 1 tablespoon of corn starch with 1/4 cup of water. Set aside.
In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat add the frozen blueberries, sugar, and vanilla.
Give a stir and pour in the water and corn starch mixture. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly. After about a minute the blueberry mixture will have thickened up. Remove from heat.
Evenly pour the blueberry mixture over the top of the filling mixture.
Evenly sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of the crust mixture.
