Strawberry and spinach salad
Ingredients for Strawberry Salad
Before we get into the recipe here is everything you need to make both the strawberry salad and strawberry vinaigrette.
- Baby spinach & baby romaine lettuce: My favorite greens I use for this salad are baby spinach and baby romaine lettuce. If you aren’t a fan of either spinach or romaine, feel free to use your favorite greens.
- Strawberries: You’re wanting to find fresh and ripe strawberries for this salad. Fresh picked strawberries are the best option however you can also find ripe strawberries in the grocery store.
- Mint leaves: Mint leaves pair so well with this salad. Making your salad super refreshing. I always buy fresh mint leaves from the grocery store.
- Red onion: I highly suggest slicing your onion very thin. Red onions are great way to add a sweet and crisp bite to your salad.
- Pecans: Chopped pecans are a great way to add a bit of crunch to your salad.
- Feta or goat cheese: Feta cheese is what I use in my strawberry salad recipe however goat cheese would be a great option also.
- Salt and pepper to taste: Salt and pepper elevate the taste of this strawberry and spinach salad making it taste so much better.
- Homemade strawberry vinaigrette: I highly suggest making your strawberry vinaigrette homemade. It tastes so much better than the store-bought kind, and it’s super easy to make. However, if you aren’t wanting to make the vinaigrette homemade you can also just get premade vinaigrette from your local grocery store.
