This red, white, and blue chia pudding is one of the two 4th of July recipes I will be sharing this week. I love the holidays because it means I get to make all the fun and festive treats. My toddler also really enjoys helping which I love so much. I can’t wait until baby boy can also help with me and my toddler. It’s such a fun experience watching them learn new things.

Chia Pudding That Will Leave You Full for Hours

I love meals and snacks that don’t fill me with empty calories and that actually leave me feeling full for hours. This chia pudding is exactly that. It’s not going to fill you with a bunch of empty calories, and you will stay full for HOURS! As an exclusively breastfeeding mamma I’m literally always hungry so I’m always looking for meals and snacks that will help with keeping me full for longer.

I’m always making it a point to feed my family things that keep them full. I don’t want my boys filling up with a bunch of unhealthy calories that leave them feeling hungry a half hour later. This chia pudding is also dye free which is something that fits well in our lifestyle since I’ve been trying to stay away from dyes. All in all, this chia pudding is a very healthy, filling, and natural meal or snack that your family will absolutely love and it’s especially great if you’re trying to stay away from dyes but don’t want to leave out all the fun colors.

Ingredients for Patriotic Chia Pudding

  • Chia Seeds
  • Low Fat Plain Greek Yogurt
  • Milk
  • Honey
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries

How to Make Patriotic Chia Pudding

  1. Add the milk, Greek, yogurt, and honey to a blender. Blend on high until everything is fully combined and you have a smooth mixture. Pour the mixture to a medium sized bowl and stir in the chia seeds until fully combined. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. You can leave the mixture overnight if you want the pudding to thicken up more.
  2. Add the raspberries to a medium bowl and mash lightly.
  3. Evenly distribute the mashed raspberries into 6 glasses
  4. Spoon the pudding evenly over the top of the mashed raspberries.
  5. Top the glasses with a handful of blueberries and serve.

Store this patriotic chia pudding in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use withing 3-5 days. Because this chia pudding is made with fresh fruit, milk, and yogurt it won’t stay fresh as long. Your pudding will have a weird smell, mold, or an unusual texture if it has gone bad.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Chia Seeds
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 Cup Plain Low-Fat Greek Yogurt
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 1 Cup Fresh Blueberries
  • 2 Cups Fresh Raspberries

Instructions

  • Add the milk, honey, and Greek yogurt to a blender. Blend on high speed until you have a smooth mixture and everything is fully combined. Move the mixture to a medium bowl and add in the chia seeds. Mix until combined. Cover the mixture and put in the refrigerator for four hours or leave overnight.
  • Add the raspberries to a medium bowl and mash lightly.
  • In 6 bowls or glasses evenly distribute the mashed raspberries.
  • When the pudding has set for at least 4 hours spoon it over the top of the mashed raspberries.
  • Top the bowls or glasses with a handful of blueberries and serve.
