Mommy & Me Photos and First Farmers Market of The Season

Happy Tuesday!

I’m loving the warm weather and have been soaking it in with my family these past few days. You forget what warm weather is like until you have it back. LOL. And it’s finally famers market season. I’m so happy about it. I could definitely get used to this warm weather and farmers markets always being around.

daily walks

We’ve been staying pretty consistent with our daily walks lately and I finally think my toddler looks forward to them every day. It’s not that he doesn’t like the walks he just doesn’t want to be in his stroller the whole time. But I mean who would? I let him get out whenever he’s over it. I put baby boy in the stroller once my toddler decides he’s ready to walk and we just take our time walking back home. It poured rain on us two times this week and we still continued with ours walks. Rain doesn’t stop us. LOL.

Wednesday, I made homemade blueberry coffee creamer. And let me tell you it’s my favorite homemade coffee creamer I’ve made so far! It’s so easy to make and SO much better than store bought coffee creamer. I also have a brown sugar coffee creamer recipe you can try out too. This one is super good as well. I’m so excited for all the other coffee creamer and coffee recipes I’m going to be sharing on my blog.

Thursday and Friday were pretty slow days for us. We went grocery shopping and Thursday was a rainy day, so we did lots of fun indoor activities after our walk and did some cleaning up around the apartment. We just spent a lot of time together as a family. My toddler was still pretty worn out and very attached to me, so I wanted to make sure I was there for him as much as he needed me. Plus, we all needed a little bit of rest.

rainy day activities

I made my toddler this fun bubble foam sensory bin and he LOVED it. It was a fun little activity to do. Especially since it was raining. I found the recipe on TikTok. Add 1/4 cup dawn dish soap, 1/2 cup of water, and food coloring to a bowl. Use a hand mixer and mix until it forms into a bubble foam consistency. It’s so fun! My toddler loved driving his cars and trucks through it and it was a really easy clean up. My toddler even helped! When it comes to cleaning and picking up messes my toddler will for sure be there to help. I’ve always included him in cleaning up and helping me with all the things and now he always helps me clean up.

Saturday my hubby wanted to go to a card show and I had mommy and me photos planned for me and my toddler. I did plan to go to the farmers market today but we already had so much planned, and I didn’t want to overwhelm baby boy or my toddler with a bunch of things that day.

Me and the boys left the card show early because they were both super tired and needed a nap. While they napped, I did some much needed cleaning around the apartment and made sure everything was ready for the photos we were getting done. Baby boy wasn’t in the photos just because they were kind of messy. However, looking back on it I do wish I got a few with him too. I’ll probably get some similar ones done with baby boy once he’s a little bit older. I literally love getting our photos done. Being able to look back at all our family photos is one of my favorite things to.

Okay but how cute are these photos?! I’m literally so obsessed with them. I’m so happy that I have a really good photographer. I used to work with her and not only does she take AMAZING pictures but she’s also super sweet. I’m super awkward when it comes to getting photos taken but the fact that I know my photographer makes things so much easier for me. I highly suggest finding a photographer that you know. Things go so much smoother. At least for me. LOL. And if you live near me, I highly suggest checking out Leigh Captures. Shes the best and blows my mind every time I get the photos!

park date

Sunday my older sister invited me to go to the park with her and her two kiddos. Of course, my toddler was so excited since he was able to be outside at the park, and he got to play with his cousins. One of my sisters girls is a little over a year older than my toddler, so they get along really well. It was pretty warm on Sunday, so by the time bedtime came my toddler passed out.

Monday morning, we also went to the park. My toddler loves going and since I’m able to stay home with my boys I like to go to the park as much as possible.

I’m not sure why but this past week I’ve been so tired. I feel like all I want to do is sleep. LOL. I really wanted to take a nap with my boys but I wanted to get a workout in and had to catch up on some things around the house.

When the boys were napping, I made an iced dirty chai latte. It’s made with a homemade chai spice blend and it’s literally SO good. I will be making this all summer long. I love anything chai flavored and the fact this is a dirty chai and has espresso in it makes it all the better.

Today was a super busy day for us. Since we didn’t go to the farmers market Saturday, I wanted to make sure we went today instead. What I didn’t realize is that my toddlers checkup appointment for what happened on Monday was today and I also had a dentist appointment.

With that being said I made sure we still were able to get to the farmers market before the appointments. Plus, my toddler’s appointment was in the morning, and my dentist appointment was in the afternoon. It all worked out, but we had one long day. LOL.

Both boys woke up super early today too. Right around 5:00am. Which is really odd. Especially for my toddler. He doesn’t go to bed early at all, so it was really surprising that he was up that early. Baby boy on the other hand usually wake up between 6-7 so it wasn’t as unusual for him. So, mamma is tired tonight. LOL.

flowers at farmers market

Since the farmers market just opened its not quite as big as it normally is so we were able to get through everything fairly quick. We picked up a small thing of flowers, my toddler wanted some honey sticks and a bakery cookie, and we bought a bag of candied nuts. I’m so happy the farmers market is open again. My toddler enjoys going, I enjoy going, and it’s a easy and fun activity do to in the spring and summertime as a family. Baby boy even liked it. He’s started to scoot a bunch and all he wanted to do was get on the grass and scoot all over the place. He’s getting so big!

After the farmers market we went to my toddler’s appointment. It went fairly quickly, and he had a quick ultrasound done. Everything is great and he’s doing great and I’m glad that appointment is over with.

Since I had my appointment in the afternoon, I asked my mom if she would help watch the boys. So, instead of going home since we live about a half hour away, I went to my parents house until my appointment. That way baby boy and my toddler didn’t have to ride in the car as much. My toddler doesn’t mind it as much as he used to, but baby boy really doesn’t like being in his car seat. I try to have him nap as much as possible when we are in the car.

My toddler was so excited that he was able to see their chickens again. He’s loves them so much.

Once we got home, we played outside the rest of the afternoon/evening. Our summer is going to be filled with all the outside time. Once we came inside my toddler took a bath, we ate dinner, and then it was off to bed for both boys. They both were extremely tired and passed out super fast.

I have so many fun things I want to do with the boys and as a family this spring and summer. It’s going to be a blast! I hope you’re having a great start to your week. Thanks for stopping by to read this week’s highlights!
