Toddlers First Gymnastics Class, Park Fun, & Library Books
Happy Tuesday!
Oh my gosh I have been loving this warm weather and doing all the fun things outside. I feel like since it’s been warm out the days just fly by. We’re definitely always busy during the summer. I really wish the days would slow down. Each night I look back on my day and can’t believe how fast it went by. We’ve had a very fun filled week. Are days have been filled with spending time outside, going to the park and library. My boys attended their first wedding, and my toddler had his first gymnastics class!

I really would never have imagined doing all these things by myself with two little boys. Before I had baby boy, I was so worried I’d never be able to take both boys out to do things by myself. The first time I took both boys out by myself was a very bad experience. It was about 3 weeks after I had baby boy, and I took both boys to target. After that experience I never wanted to take both boys out by myself again. LOL. It really wasn’t even that bad. I just had a baby and was just a little overwhelmed.
I don’t know what it was about that day but ever since then it’s been easy to take both boys out. We go to the park all the time while my husband is at work and I literally take them out by myself all the time.

Tuesday morning, I took the boys to the library. Let me tell you I can’t control myself when it comes to picking out books. LOL. I over fill our library bag than some. LOL. I love books so it’s just as fun going to the library for me as it is for my boys.
My toddler loves picking out books and absolutely loves playing and looking at the fish that they have there. We’ve gone to the library twice this past week and we already want to go back again. I will say it’s come to be one of our favorite things to do recently.

These are just some of the books that we brought home this week. LOL. But these have definitely been my toddlers favorite this time around.
- 123 Peas
- LMNO Peas
- I’m not Sleepy
- Animals
- Spring is Here
- Dig
- Beach Baby
- Puddle Song
- 5 Minute Disney Stories
- Look Up High Things That Fly
- Hide and Seek In Nature
- That’s What Dinosaurs Do
I’ve added all our favorite library books to my amazon storefront. I’ll be updating weekly as we find more of our favorite books!

The church I go to started doing a weekly park day where we all go to a new park one day a week. So, after the library we headed to the park. My toddler gets pretty shy around a lot of people but after a while he finally warmed up and was having a blast. I love taking both boys to the park. Now that baby boy is crawling and becoming more mobile, he also loves being outside.

Thursday and Friday were both pretty rainy days so we didn’t get to spend a whole lot of time outside. Instead me and my toddler made all the fun recipes. Since the 4th of July is coming up I thought it would be fun to share some healthy 4th of July recipes.
I love that my toddler helps me with literally everything. I love watching him learn new things. It’s so much fun. By the end of the year, I’ll have two little boys helping me with all the things. It’s going to be such a fun and exciting thing!

Saturday, we attended a wedding. this was my boys first wedding. And my gosh they were so sticking cute. I love dressing my boys up. LOL. I especially love matching them with my husband.

I literally bought a dress for the wedding on Wednesday. LOL. I’m not very good at being prepared. I found this dress at target, and I loved it! I can never find dresses that I like so I was super happy I found one that I liked myself in for the wedding.
The wedding was about 45 minutes away, so we had a little bit of a drive. Both boys napped in the car on the way there. Thankfully my toddler napped he was super tired, and I was worried he was going to skip his nap and not be in a good mood all day. Although it wasn’t a long nap, I was still happy about it.

I wasn’t able to be there when the actual ceremony was going on because baby boy was still pretty tired and I didn’t want him crying the whole time. I took both boys, and we just stayed busy walking around checking everything out.
It was nice getting to see family. My toddler is getting so much more social, and he definitely came out of his shell by the end of the night. I wore baby boy almost all day. LOL. He loved it for the most part but was definitely wanting to get out to crawl around. We left around 9:30 and baby boy fell asleep immediately. My toddler on the other hand didn’t fall asleep until we were almost home. Which was almost 10:30. LOL.

Sunday was Father’s Day and was spent spending all the time together. Some of my husband’s family was in town from Arizona for the wedding, so we stopped over and spent the afternoon with everyone. Once we got back home, we did some Father’s Day crafts with the boys and had a much needed slow evening.

My husband decided to start reading because he wants to start some healthier habits so on Monday, I took the boys to the library again. We went to a different library instead of the one we usually go to. This one was a lot smaller but a lot closer. It worked out because I planned to meet my husband after to go grocery shopping. I was able to find the book and baby boy and my toddler also had lots of fun playing.
The worst part about taking both boys in the car is that baby boy really dislikes the car. I try to have him nap anytime he has to go in his car seat. But since that can’t always happen it’s sometimes a struggle to keep him happy and occupied. That’s literally the only thing I don’t like about taking the boys out.

Today was another park day and this week it was decided to go to an airplane park. I literally had no idea this park was a thing otherwise I would’ve been taking the boys here all the time. My toddler loves airplanes, so I knew he was going to love this park.

We spent an hour and a half at the park and both baby boy and my toddler had so much fun. I brought my toddlers bike, and we had so much fun. The park even had a little runway which was perfect for my toddler to ride his bike on. Now that I know this park is a thing I will for sure be taking both boys here more often.

Now for probably the biggest highlight of my week. Taking my toddler to try his first gymnastics class. Oh my gosh he absolutely loved it. He listened so well and did a great job! I don’t know why but with things like this I almost cry every time. LOL.
I did gymnastics when I was younger, and I loved it. I knew I would always have my children try gymnastics to see if they would like it and seeing him experience it and seeing how happy he was just made me so happy. Plus, I’m just very emotional as it is. LOL. He for sure is wants to go back so we went ahead and signed him up.
I look forward to watching him learn new things and see if he will continue to like gymnastics as he gets older. You will definitely be getting weekly updates on how it’s going. LOL. I love gymnastics so this is a big deal for me. It’ll be so much fun when baby boy is old enough and can try out gymnastics as well.

Thanks for stopping by to read this week’s weekly highlights. I hope you enjoyed! I love sharing all the fun things we’ve been up to this summer and all the fun park, library and new adventures we go on. I’ll be sharing one more 4th of July recipe this week and I’m super excited about it. The recipe will be up on Thursday night so stay tuned and have a wonderful rest of your week!
