Mom life is ls literally the best! My favorite thing in life is being a mom and I’m so lucky to have these perfect little boys that I get to raise.

mom life

Mom life

Okay but honestly mom life is seriously the best. Nobody could tell me differently. I honestly couldn’t imagine my life not being a mom.

Recently my toddler and baby (mostly because he still nurses multiple times a night) haven’t been sleeping for me at all. And they don’t sleep by themselves. I get them to sleep and then I lay them down. It’s can sometimes be overwhelming, but I would want it any other way.

I’ve always wanted to be able to be their comfort when they sleep, and I’m so happy I’ve been able to do it this long. I love being their comfort and them knowing I’m always there for them.

My mornings have been coffee, coffee, and more coffee. With my boys needing me extra at night and my late nights editing and writing, I’ve been running on 5ish hours of sleep at least 6 days a week.

Now I do love my coffee and honestly, I don’t even feel like I’m running on 5 hours of sleep most days. So, it hasn’t been hard for me getting less sleep.

I love my life and being a mom and I think I’m just so focused on all the happy things that less sleep doesn’t really bother me.

When I say that this momcozy carrier is the best I mean it! If you’re looking for an easy carrier that doesn’t require a lot of work, then this one is for you. Moby carriers are super good too and they’re so nice on your back, but I still always use the momcozy carrier more often.

Toddler Things

On Saturday we went to an indoor Imaginarium. I’ve been wanting to go for so long but have been putting it off. I always try to make things fit into are schedule the best way possible and Saturday just felt like it was the perfect day to go.

When I told my toddler about it, he was so excited all he wanted to do was get ready to go. He’s recently been in a no clothes faze so getting him dressed has been a bit of a struggle. However, when I told him about going to the Imaginarium he immediately ran to his room to get dressed. Mamma was happy and it was a breeze getting ready to go!

I looked up pictures of the place before we went just to see what it would look like, but when we got there, I was so surprised on how much better it looked in person. The photos didn’t do justice! There were so many fun and cool things to do.

I knew when I saw the water area that it would be my toddlers favorite part! He is absolutely obsessed with water. And of course, since it’s winter and so cold outside he hasn’t been able to play with water like he’s used to doing in the summertime. So sure, enough we played in this area for most the time! Honestly though how cool is all of this!

My toddlers favorite part was the open area of water that he could splash in and play with the ducks that they had. He loves ducks and when he saw those ducks I knew nothing was getting him away from them! I think we played with the ducks for a good 25 minutes before moving on to the other areas.

Look at him lining all the ducks up!

One of my favorite things about being a mom is seeing all the things your children get into. It’s the simple things that make them so happy and it makes you realize that life is meant for you to be happy and love the simple things too!

Time is literally flying by, and my baby is growing so fast I honestly can’t believe it, but I am so excited for next year when he’s old enough and he’s able to have all these fun adventures that he’s not sleeping for!

It’s crazy to think that this time last year my toddler wasn’t even walking yet. What a year can do huh.

There was an area for crafts where the kids were able to make things like slime and paper snowflakes. And my toddler loves crafts, so this area was a big hit for him! My toddler and husband made paper plate drawings.

I’m so lucky to have such an amazing husband that loves our boys the way he does. My whole life I’ve always wanted to make sure I married a man that would take care of our children. And he does just that plus more! Both boys love him so much and I’m so incredibly thankful!

I have a small bin with a bunch of different things my toddler has made over the past almost two years. And now I’ve been adding in things for my baby too. It’s something that I think when they get older, we’ll love to look back at as a family.

If there is one thing my toddler loves, it’s helping my husband fix all the things. I was so happy to see the types of things they had for our toddler to do. One of his favorite things to play with is all his tools he has at our place, and it was also one of his favorite things to play with here! He’s such a simple little boy.

He has so much fun just focusing on new things that he hasn’t learned yet and he catches on very quickly. I love watching him learn new things. It’s really fun seeing his reaction when he realizes he did something for the first time. His eyes light up and it’s like he’s the happiest boy in the world. I literally love it so much. Being a mom is my favorite thing in life!

He saw this cow and “Moo.” This cow was another one of his favorite things. Nothing even came out when he tired milking the cow, but he loved pretending! I’m sure it was the fact that it was a cow and that’s why he liked it so much. Mammas a big fan of cows that’s probably where he gets it from!

When we are ready to buy our house, I really would like to buy a house with a decent bit of land so that we can have some animals on it. I’d love to have some chickens, ducks, horses, and even a couple cows. Yes, it’s a lot of work but it’s something that I’ve always dreamed of having. Plus, I think my boys (and hopefully more babies to come) would love to have some farm animals too. It would be a great way to help teach them big responsibility.

These floating balls were super cool. I was amazed! Probably just as amazed as my toddler was. There was lots of air type activities that were really fun for my toddler. It was all so cool!

All in all, this place was super fun not only for my toddler but also for me. I think I played just as much as he did. We most definitely will be coming back again! I’m sure my toddler can’t wait!

Sourdough Starter Fail

Now for the sad part of my week and what I said I’d update you on. My sourdough starter. Thankfully it’s not all that sad I’m just more so disappointed in myself.

Really, I don’t know what I did wrong. But my sourdough starter didn’t work out and I had to throw it away. It started off good. I mean I think it did, but then one day it was super watery and had started growing mold. YUCK.

I did just as the recipe said. I fed the starter every 24 hours, and I made sure the temperature in the house was warm enough for it.

Bubbles started and everything. So, I’m not sure if there was just too much moisture or maybe not enough air? I went ahead and asked my mom if she could make me some to start with instead of me making another one right away. I’m not giving up on making my own sourdough starter, but I do want to try to make some sourdough recipes as soon as possible. I’ll continue trying to get the sourdough starter down while making yummy sourdough recipes!

Hopefully I have better luck next time I try making sourdough starter. I’ve heard that it is really hard to make but I’m hoping next time I try I’ll get the hang of it.

I hope you all have the best week!
