Mini Recap | Breakfast Smoothies, Easter Crafts, and a Chilly Park Day
It’s currently 8:50 PM and both boys have been sleeping for close to an hour. They were both up much earlier than normal this morning. Baby boy was up around 6:30 and my toddler was up just before 7. I know that may not seem very early for some of you but for us, that’s early. LOL. Having them down for bed this early is so weird. I would love to be up before both boys in the mornings but with me being up super late at night blogging/editing I make myself sleep until they do so I’m getting enough rest.

This morning, I brewed myself a cup of coffee and went outside to see if maybe I could drink my coffee on the balcony while my toddler ate breakfast. I was very wrong. LOL. This morning was a chilly one. I can’t wait for the days where I can sit outside in the mornings drinking my coffee while my toddler eats his breakfast. I could already be doing this if I lived in a warmer state!
My toddler always wants his breakfast as soon as he wakes up and then a second breakfast an hour or so later. So, this morning I made him his first breakfast and decided that when I was hungry, I’d make us both a smoothie. I used to make smoothies all the time and decided I wanted to start making them again. You can really pack them full of nutritious things and I smoothies are a great way to get in some veggies if you aren’t a veggie person. My toddler loves his veggies but there are definitely days he doesn’t want anything to do with them. It’s great having the option to give him a veggie filled smoothie on days like that.
Today’s smoothie was a strawberry banana smoothie. I blended up one cup of strawberries with one banana, half a cup of raw milk and a little bit of maple syrup. My toddler was obsessed and drank his full cup plus some of mine. I will say smoothies are definitely going to be a new breakfast favorite around here! This recipe is for one cup! I wasn’t expecting my toddler to drink as much as he did that’s why I only made one serving. LOL.
I just started drinking raw milk. My mom and dad buy it often and I always ask for half a gallon when they go. I’m not a big fan of milk but ever since I tried raw milk I can’t get enough of it. My toddler loves it too!
I made another loaf of sourdough bread today and it turned out super good! I’m testing this recipe out like crazy before I post it because I want it to be the best! I’m so excited to share it with you guys!

Baby boy is obsessed with this soother toy he got for Christmas. I wanted it so badly when I had first had my toddler, but we never bought it. Both baby boy and my toddler love this thing. I feel like baby boy would literally just stare at it all day long if he could.
Every holiday I like to try and do some sort of craft with my toddler and baby boy. My toddler loves doing the crafts and I think it’s such a fun way to keep memories and look back at when they’re older. It’s little things like this that make my toddler so happy and excited. He looks forward to our crafts every time we make them.
I will say I’m not a crafty person. I so badly wish I was better at drawing and making fun crafts, but I’m just not. LOL. Maybe it’s something I can work on this year! With how much my toddler loves making crafts I feel like it’s something I can easily improve on.
I found all these Easter crafts on TikTok! Anytime I’m looking for fun crafts I always resort to TikTok. I’ll link all the TikTok videos for you guys! I know it’s super helpful seeing a step by step video on how to do something. Easter bunny and carrot, colorful Easter bunny, finger and toe Easter bunnies, colorful Easter cross.
My toddler went down early for his nap today since he was up a little bit earlier than normal this morning. I can usually get both boys down at the same time in the afternoon for a nap. While they were napping, I got in a good workout and much needed run. Lately running has been pushed to the side. With blogging and being a mom and wife things are always so busy I don’t have the time for it like I used to. This summer I have some running goals I’m going to try to fit into my busy schedule. I’ll share those goals in another post!
Yesterday I told my toddler that we could go to the park today (knowing it would probably be chilly) so after both boys were up from their nap, we got ourselves ready and headed to the park.

I will say it was pretty chilly out, but we had a great time. Baby boy took another nap in his wrap while me and my toddler played, went on a little trail walk, and skipped rocks on the water.
I try my hardest not to go back on what I tell my toddler. And even though today I really just wanted to stay inside because it was chilly and I was tired, I’m glad I stuck to my word and took him to the park. I’m telling you this boy just wants to be outside all the time.

I hope you all had the best day today! This is just the beginning of all the fun lifestyle blogs I want to share with you! More of my day to day life as a mom. I want to show real life as a stay at home mom. I know how hard it can be to find fun things to do with a toddler and baby. Especially if you stay home. It can feel like you’ve run out of things to do sometimes. That’s why I’m here! I hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading along!
