March Recap – Life, & April Plans

It’s currently almost 11:00 P.M. as I’m writing out this post. And by the time I get this post posted it will be well past midnight and April will be here. I’m so excited! I have so many new recipes to share! I was debating sharing this week’s recap post since I feel like this week has kind of been a repeat of last week. And I didn’t have much motivation to write. But I knew I’d be much happier once I got started writing. And here I am a couple sentences in and I’m so glad I started. Blogging is truly something I enjoy more than I ever thought I would.

Life is great but this weather is still cold and snowy and I’m ready for spring. I literally just want to spend all day outside with my boys and I’m ready to start gardening and for all the summer activities. I had a picnic planned for this week, but the weather has changed my mind. LOL. I’m going to wait until it gets just a little bit warmer. Baby boy wouldn’t want to spend an afternoon outside in the cold and neither would I. My toddler on the other hand wouldn’t mind at all, but he sure is ready for warm weather like his mamma.

life

March has been filled with more cold days than warm and more coffees than I can count. I should have expected the cold days, but my mind has been on summer and summer only. LOL. I’m a little disappointed that it’s still pretty chilly out. And the snow. It can just go away now. I truly thought last week was going to be the last snow we had. I sure was wrong. I’m not one to usually complain about something so much. But I’m just really over it. LOL.

I am so ready for the warm months and being able to spend so much time outside. My toddler is getting sick of spending more time inside than outside. And although we bake, play, read and do so many different activities he’s ready to be outside. Now I’m not against T.V. but I do try not to let him watch very much of it at all. It doesn’t bother Devin at all and like I said I’m not against it but I’d much rather my toddler do something else. When it’s warm out he literally won’t watch any T.V. at all. He doesn’t want anything to do with it. LOL. Which I love. I’m more of a once or twice a week movie night type of mom.

the weekly recaps

This week was filled with a little time outside playing, baking, new recipes, lots of decluttering and organizing (our whole apartment needs it), and lots of sourdough testing. I’m so ready to start sharing all my sourdough recipes with you guys! I think I have finally perfected my sourdough bread recipe. I’m most excited to share a whole post just on how to start your own sourdough starter. This post in going to go in so much detail. When I first started out with sourdough and making the starter I wish I could’ve found a recipe that went in more detail and had more photos, so I was able to see the process and better understand what I was doing. So, I’m so excited to be able to share that with anyone that is really struggling with making a sourdough starter. It’s so much easier than it you might think.

weekly recap

I’m hoping by the end of April or beginning of May I’ll be able to start planting some stuff. My toddler is going to love being my little garden helper! He loves getting dirty and I love letting him get dirty. I cannot wait until we can buy a house and have our own yard with a huge garden! One of our biggest goals for next Spring is to buy a house. Let me tell you I am so ready for that. Fenced in yard, a couple acres of land, and a beautiful house for our family. I can’t wait.

life lately

I have so many fun things planned for the blog in April. So many new recipes are coming and I’m most excited to share more of my day-to-day life as a mom!

Honestly, life has been so great lately. I love everything about my life. I’m living the dream I’ve always had of being a stay at home mom to my perfect boys. I love being able to blog and share my life. Everything is perfect in my life and I’m so thankful.

Sometimes I do notice I get in moods where I feel disconnected or discouraged. I’ve been really trying to focus on getting out of those moods anytime I feel it coming. The slightest little sadness I try to kick to the curb as soon as it hits. Almost every day I’m reminded of how thankful I am that I get to stay home with my boys. How grateful I am that my husband works so hard and wants me to stay home with our boys too. Most the time when I’m feeling in one of my moods it hits me, and I’m reminded how happy and grateful I am for my life. God has blessed me so much.

Although the weather hasn’t been the best, I’ve been using this time to test out so many recipes and to bake with my toddler. He loves helping me bake and cook all the things. His favorite thing is trying to sneak all the batter and cookie dough. LOL.

I hope you all had an amazing March! I look forward to what April has in store for us all! A new month and new goals and plans. And hopefully with April comes warmer weather for everyone living in the colder states. We are all ready for it! Happy April!
