Creamy Cajun pasta Ingredients

Here is everything that you need to make the best creamy Cajun pasta:

  • Olive oil
  • Smoked beef sausage
  • Onion (diced)
  • Heavy cream
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Paprika
  • Oregano

These seasonings combine create a bold, spicy, and sweet flavor. It’s perfect for a simple family meal or you could even make it for a crowd!

I do like to keep the recipe a bit milder however you can add more Cajun seasoning to spice it up a little bit more. Me and my husband aren’t the biggest fan of super spicy food.

Seasonings you could add to this recipe to add some spice or different flavor.

  • Cayenne
  • Red pepper
  • Garlic
  • Curry powered

If it were me, I would’ve added some other spices to the recipe just because I would’ve liked a little more flavor. However, it still tastes AMAZING with just the Cajun, paprika, and oregano seasoning.

How to make creamy Cajun pasta

Cut your sausage and onion: First off you want to cut your sausage up. You also want to dice your onion. (My husband likes the onion chopped as small as possible so he can’t tell that it’s mixed in).

This vegetable chopper works amazing for chopping your vegetables up very small.

Boil your bowtie noodles: Boil your noodles right aways so that once you’re done making everything else you don’t have to wait for the noodles to boil and you can add them in immediately.

Brown the sausage: You’re going to want to brown your sausage and then take out of your pan and set aside

Sauté onion: Once your sausage is set aside using the same pan, you’ll want to sauté your onion.

Combine other ingredients: Next combine your heavy cream, parmesan cheese, and seasonings.

Add in cooked noodles and sausage: Once your noodles are done, you’ll want to mix them in until combined and lastly add in you smoked sausage and mix well.

I hope you’re able to try this recipe out! I know you will love it! If you try this creamy Cajun pasta, please come back and give it a rating!
